Latvijas elektriskie tīkli AS

Vita Andersone, Chairman of Management Board and Chief Executive Officer

Vita Andersone (born on 1962) has over 15 years of experience in senior management positions in Latvenergo companies. In total, she has spent 35 years in the Latvenergo Group. Initially, her duties were related to capital investment projects and economy at the former Augstsprieguma tīkls VAS. When the company was transformed into a joint-stock company, Vita Andersone took on the responsibilities of the Financial Manager, later becoming the Chief Financial Officer and ultimately the Vice Chair of the Management Board. In 2011, a new subsidiary of Latvenergo – Latvijas elektriskie tīkli AS (LET) – was established, where V. Andersone was appointed to the Management Board.  According to the requirements of the Electricity Market Law, as of 1 January 2015, the transmission system operator takes over the service and maintenance functions of the LET transmission system, thereby LET retains only the responsibility for the supervision and management of transmission assets, and the number of the Members of the Management Board is reduced. Since then, V. Andersone has been the Chief Financial Officer of LET. However, on 10 November 2015, the shareholders’ meeting approved the changes to the Management Board of Latvijas elektriskie tīkli AS, the subsidiary of Latvenergo AS, and V. Andersone took up the duties of the Chair of the Management Board of Latvijas elektriskie tīkli AS on November 16.

She graduated from the University of Latvia in 1984 with a Master’s degree in economics, obtaining accountant qualification in 1999. From 2007 to 2012, Vita Andersone acquired knowledge in various professional development programmes related to management, audit, etc.
